2. What data we collect

Account data

When you register, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and account type (buyer, seller or partner). If you are a seller, we also collect your property address and ownership information for verification purposes.

Listing data

Property descriptions, photographs, pricing and availability information you provide when creating a listing.

Communication data

Messages sent through our secure messaging system between buyers, sellers and partners.

Usage data

With your consent, we collect anonymised analytics data including pages visited, search queries, time on site and device type. This is processed by Google Analytics 4.

Verification data

For Enhanced and Premium verification tiers, we collect identity documents (passport, driving licence) and proof of address. These are processed by our verification partner and deleted within 30 days of verification completion.

  • To facilitate communication between buyers and sellers
  • To verify your identity and property ownership
  • To introduce you to relevant service partners (with your consent)
  • To send transactional emails (account confirmation, listing updates, enquiry notifications)

  • To improve our platform using anonymised analytics data
  • To comply with our legal obligations

4. Legal basis for processing

  • Consent โ€” marketing emails, partner introductions, non-essential cookies

5. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We share data only with:

  • Service partners you explicitly choose to contact through the platform
  • Verification providers to process Enhanced/Premium tier verifications
  • Payment processors (Stripe) for listing upgrade payments
  • Email service providers for transactional and marketing communications
  • Analytics providers (Google Analytics, anonymised data only)
  • Law enforcement where required by law or court order

6. Data retention

  • Account data: retained until you request deletion
  • Listing data: retained for 7 years after listing closure (legal requirement)
  • Verification documents: deleted within 30 days of verification
  • Message data: retained for 2 years after the conversation ends
  • Analytics data: 26 months (Google Analytics 4 default)

7. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • Rectification โ€” correct inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Erasure โ€” request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
  • Restriction โ€” limit how we use your data in certain circumstances

  • Object โ€” object to processing based on legitimate interests
  • Withdraw consent โ€” at any time where processing is based on consent
